REIMERGOLF Academy

Athlete Code of Conduct

As a representative of REIMERGOLF, every student athlete is expected to demonstrate integrity, discipline, and respect. This Code of Conduct establishes the standards of behavior that reflect our core values of Academics, Athletics, Excellence, and Leadership.

1. Commitment to Excellence

  • Players will strive to perform at their highest potential in both academics and athletics.
  • Attendance and effort in all training sessions, games, and academic classes are mandatory.
  • Players are expected to maintain a growth mindset and accept coaching and feedback respectfully.

2. Respect and Sportsmanship

  • Show respect toward teammates, coaches, officials, opponents, teachers, school staff and spectators.
  • Use of inappropriate language, taunting, or unsportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated.
  • Winning with humility and losing with dignity are essential values of our academy.

3. Academic Responsibility

  • Players must maintain good academic standing as defined by academy policy.
  • Missing classes, assignments, or study sessions without valid reason will result in disciplinary action.
  • Time management and accountability are part of being a student-athlete.
  • Study Hall is mandatory when on the road.

4. Team Culture and Conduct

  • Our student athletes are expected to always represent the academy positively and uphold REIMERGOLF's reputation.
  • Bullying, hazing, or exclusionary behavior is strictly prohibited.
  • Punctuality, teamwork, and positive communication are non-negotiable expectations.
  • Dress appropriately in academy-issued attire during REIMERGOLF activities.

5. Cell Phone and other Digital Device Use

  • Cell phones and personal devices must be used responsibly and never interfere with training, meetings, team meals, curfew, school expectations, or competition preparation.
  • Phones are not permitted during team meetings, video sessions, team meals, or any scheduled team activity unless directed by staff.
  • During academic time, devices must be used only for school-related tasks unless a teacher gives permission.
  • Photos, videos, or recordings in locker rooms, hotel rooms, or other private team areas are strictly prohibited.
  • Social media use must align with REIMERGOLF standards — negative, disrespectful, harmful, or distracting online behavior will result in disciplinary action.
  • Coaches reserve the right to collect phones temporarily during travel or team events to support focus, rest, and team standards.
  • Coaches will be collecting digital devices at curfew during travel unless staff approval is given.

6. Health, Safety, and Substance Policy

  • The use of alcohol, tobacco, nicotine pouches, vaping, or illegal substances is prohibited.
  • Players must report injuries or health concerns immediately to coaching or medical staff.
  • Proper nutrition, hydration, and recovery habits are expected as part of elite athletic development.

7. Billet Expectations

  • Players staying with billet families are expected to show respect, gratitude, and consideration at all times.
  • Follow the house rules of the billet family, including curfews, chores, and meal expectations.
  • Treat the billet home as if it were your own, keeping spaces clean and organized.
  • Communicate openly and politely with billet hosts about any concerns or needs.
  • Any issues with the billet arrangement should be reported immediately to the Billet Coordinator and Coaching staff.

8. Team Travel

  • Players are ambassadors of REIMERGOLF while traveling and must conduct themselves with professionalism and maturity.
  • Athletes must follow all instructions from coaches and staff promptly and respectfully.
  • Curfew and room assignments must be strictly followed — no visiting other rooms without staff permission.
  • Athletes must always remain with the team unless granted approval by a coach or staff member.
  • Punctuality is mandatory for departure times, meetings, meals, and team events.
  • Proper nutrition, hydration, and rest are expected to support performance and recovery while on the road.
  • Team-issued apparel and appropriate dress standards are required during travel, team meals, and public appearances.
  • Use of inappropriate language, disruptive behavior in hotels, or disrespect toward hotel/venue staff will not be tolerated and may result in disciplinary action.
  • Players must immediately report any illness, injury, or safety concern to staff.

9. Respect of Facilities

  • Players must respect all academy facilities, school property, locker rooms, team spaces, hotels, buses, and competition venues.
  • Cleanliness and care are expected — athletes are responsible for keeping their areas tidy and disposing of garbage properly.
  • Damaging, vandalizing, or misusing equipment or property will result in disciplinary action and financial responsibility for repairs or replacement.
  • Players must follow all school and facility rules, including classroom and hallway conduct expectations.
  • Respect school staff, facility staff, and support personnel; rude or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.
  • Athletes must represent REIMERGOLF with pride in all shared spaces, ensuring we leave every environment better than we found it.

10. Leadership and Accountability

  • Every player is expected to lead by example and support teammates in maintaining a positive, disciplined environment.
  • Accept responsibility for actions and decisions when representing REIMERGOLF.
  • Athletes are encouraged to hold others accountable during all team activities.
  • Encourage and uplift others through teamwork and mutual respect.

11. Parent Responsibilities & Support of the Code of Conduct

  • Parents/guardians are expected to support REIMERGOLF standards and reinforce the values of Academics, Athletics, Excellence, and Leadership at home, during school events, and throughout the season.
  • Parents will model respectful behavior toward players, coaches, officials, school staff, opponents, and other families.
  • Parents are encouraged to promote healthy habits for sleep, nutrition, recovery, and mental well being in alignment with REIMERGOLF performance standards.
  • Failure to uphold these expectations may affect a player's participation and standing within the program.

12. Disciplinary Actions

Violations of this Code of Conduct may result in one or more of the following:

01Verbal or written warning
02Suspension from training, games, or academy activities
03Meeting with academy administration and parents/guardians
04Dismissal from the academy in severe or repeated cases

Athlete Acknowledgment

I have read and understood the REIMERGOLF Player Code of Conduct. I agree to uphold these standards and represent the academy with pride, integrity, and respect.

Every accepted athlete and parent/guardian must complete this sign-off before the first Academy session.
